coilover question!

hi ive just got a set of coilovers from hottuning and recieved them with the smaller spring at the bottom so i assumed that this was the correct set up!….then i saw this pic http://www.vwgolfmk1.org.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=35946 and wondered why this set up has the samller spring on top??????????


any advice

Normally fitted at top, because when the car's not in the air the spring is fully compressed and this protects the damper better.
