Beetle seats into a MK1 golf?

Hi all! Has anyone tried this? Picked up a set of beetle seats for the new shape (2000 model) and think they will look good, matter of opinion of course! I realise rear seat will need alteration, but any idea on seat frames? If no ideas I will let you know, or alternatively if anyone as  good tan mk 1 cabrio interior………. please let me know!

seat frame base is to wide will need cutting and reweilding at the very least.
