2.0 in my cab?

hey guys, was readin loads o stuff on conversions in the forum and a popular one seems to be using the mk3 2.0gti bottom end with the 1.8 head and k-jet.
I have the 1600 gti running k-jet, can i still do this conversion, will i be able to use my head? and can i keep the same k-jet system? cheers dudes

No on the head its gotta be one off an 1800cc lump (DX PB) , yes you can run k jet but you may need to use 1800 inlet and exhaust manifolds , you'll also need 3 conversion pieces one for the dizzy , 1 breather bung and a flat plate to cover the hole in the block where your cpr sits . to get the best from this conversion you really need to use a ported and polished big valve head .

ie been doing alot of research on this im using the passat 2litre bottom end engine code 2E and im using the 1800 cylinder head ported n polished non GTi carb model, yes u can just use the bottom end and mate it up to ur head, u use the head gasket to match the head, not sure about the belt so if anyone knows what belt to use then please dont be shy msg me ;)

hope this helps.

p.s. if ur using a second hand bottom end, u may aswell do the piston rings and crank bearings whilst ur there, this is what im doing as i dont fancy ripping it all apart 2000miles down the road to replace them.

i always have the last laugh ;)
