Mr Perkins Classic

Nice feature - it's a shame Dano didn't make the cover!! (That's Danny the editor driving it!)

Practical Classics unit is next to mine, so it was a nice surprise that morning to see a red cabby pull up outside my front door. I thought " that looks just like Dano's….oh, hold on!!"

Cheers all !!!

It was a really long day. Set off from Preston at 6.30 to be on the PC doorstep at 10am (minute perfect arrival!!)
Waited around for a couple of hours while they photographeda green Morris Minor and I drank Hairyarse 's tea chest dry!!
Off at 12.30pm, a quick lunch on the hoff and we drove up the Anglia Car Autions (some of you may have seen the pictures I posted on Facebook of the pre-action cars). Having picked up the cream Morris Minor, the other cover car we drove up to Sandringham where we did the photos for both cars.

Once completed I took myself off to Hunstanton as I'd not been for 25 years!!

5.30pm saw me set off back. Radio 2 put out a 'road blocked, diversion' message for the A17 but with no knowledge of the area I didn't know if it was in front of me or behind!! I came across an HGV vs car, road blocked and a diversion so thought that the quick side step route they provided was pretty good…. Until I found the real accident & tailback. I turned off the A17 and headed north to Lincoln and then to the A1 again. Lincolnshire is a BIG county to drive through, it seemed to take ages to get to the A1 !!!
Home by 10pm and pretty much straight to bed.
The PC guys are a top bunch and made me feel very welcome.
I'm pleased to have made the effort and like the resulting photos.

Cheers all.

Got a few comments on Sunday from people who were looking round the car.
"Is this the one that's on the cover of Practical Classics?"

It also shows that people who are interested in our cars read the magazine and in turn will see our advertising for events.
