Some and advise and your thoughts please!!

Just got my MK1, an After shopping around for insurance, my existing insurance broker with which I had a policy on another car has worked out cheaper i.e. just a transfer of regitration numbers, at an anual rate of ?270, including business use, others came within ?50.

The catch is, my existing broker wants me to install a thatcham cat1 alarm, has anyone else had to get an alarm installed and are the electrics upto having one installed, considering the age of these cars.

If I was to cancel my existing policy I would lose money previously paid and they would want me to pay ?35 to cancel.
