Lancaster classic car

Hi guys, just got an amasing quote from lancaster insurance for my mk1. Agreed value of ?4000. Fully comp. ?588.00.

Just bare in mind that im 23 and that is with zero no claims as I use the 5 years I got on my mk4. Last year I got hit by a drink driver just before inters. I had my car on display so claimed on my insurance to get it fixed quick, (the alcoholic didnt bother to report it to his insurance for over a week). By the time I came to renue my insurance had taken my no claims until they retrived the money from him. My renual quote was ?1500. I refused to pay and they gave me back my no claims and I paid ?500.

The drink driver got 2 year and 6 month ban, and ?600 fine.

I'm insured with lancaster on my '83 cab gti, simelar price. I find them very good, and very helpful.

I'm 24 by the way, so they seem to be good for younger drivers.

I had my Mk1 on a classic car policy a while ago - I did find most "classic" policies dempand the driver being over 25 (as do most camper van policies it seems).  All very good stuff but remember - you don't accrew any No Claim Discount on a classic car policy…

No but you do maintain any current NCB's you have - Which is fine if you already have "Full NCB"  :D

My insurance company were quite good and gave me a years NCD for my year on a classic policy - but not all of them will (we all know how awkward some insurers can be!)
