First time 18yo driver looking for a quote!

Recently passed my test and never driven before so 0 NCD etcetera.

Looking for a 1.1l, 1.3l or PREFERABLY (however unlikely) a diesel mk1.

Obviously need to find a quote before I go car shopping and wondering where's the best place to start?

Any suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Joe

How about getting it insured in a relatives name say parents/grandparents and use their no claims and you be a named driver on the policy. That used to make it cheaper.  :dontknow:

I would try Adrian Flux. They insured my first decent car for a good rate.

Mind you that was 15 years ago. Insurance today is a bloody nightmare.

Good luck with it Joe.

Best bet I find get on the comparison web sites to give you an idea then make a few phone calls. I tend to play them  off against each other to get the prices down further.

The trouble with using your parents as the policy holder and been a named driver is that if your the main driver or only driver of the car, its called fronting and insurance companies don't like this. It also fraud and you can have your policy cancelled.

If you've got a tesco clubcard I'd reccommend using tesco. Definitely.

I'm 22, no NCD. But with the clubcard 30% discount I got it down to £680 for my 1.8 cabby. Bargain.
