Classic Modified Insurance for under 25's?

Hey there.
I have just purchased a mk1 Cabby, which is running a 20v T from a Leon Cupra. It has had a lot of work done to it i.e. uprated brakes, braided hoses, alloys, coilovers etc.

So far with classic insurance, I have noticed if you are unde 25, you're going to have a hard time finding any.
Just want to know if anyone has any recomendations on where to turn.
I gather the favourites are Peter Best, SureTerm, Adrian Flux and Footman James.

I have put her on my old policy for now, untill it runs out in a few weeks.
I will try and keep this updated, as to help any others in the same predicament. I'm am only using online services for the time being as I'm out of the country, and I have no access to a phone. Just hoping to get some quotes by the time she is due in November.

Cheers.

I'm 23, although mine isn't classic as I use it daily I have a 2l 16v in mine, bbs, coils, g60 breaks, leather buckets, rear discs, all insured, with 4yrs ncb unlimited mileage for £850 with brentacre but you'll have to phone them up 01792650933.

Adrian flux where only ones close at £930.

Mines kept on a public road aswell I may add.

Yeah, I was hoping for classic, but it's going to be my daily. I only drive home and back at weekends me with working away.
The last thing I need is limited milage, as I do at least 8,000 a year on average.
I'll give them a go anyway. t's such a shame most companies freak out with modifications. Such a huge niche in the market, alot of money to be made.
When will they understand that we take care of our cars and don't all drive like little boys??

Classic get touchy if you haven't got a 2nd car to use daily more than anything. If it was a modded Saxo I'd understand the steep price but hey.

Always a tricky game.
Damn those pesky Saxo's!!
I suppose paying that little extra is worthwhile if your car is also a hobby.

hi mate…
im a tad older than you so my price wont help… but im with adrian flux, its either a classic or vintage policy and gives me 8000 miles
cover to drive other cars 3rd party and is also agreed value £5000 + my bbs alloys..
i have also declared my mods, big brakes, coils, exhaust and told them i drive it most days…
give them a call not as cheap as some but they provide the best milage with agreed value..
hope this helps
adrian  and no im not mr.flux ha ha

Thanks mate, I will bear that in mind. I just have to wait untill I'm home for quotes.
Getting internet quotes is difficult if you have specialist requirements.

i went on google and typed in "classic car insurance" and it was one of the first links… "Lancaster Insurance"

its was £224.05 to be exact

I thought that was very good. I did set the mileage low as it would be a weekend car but i cant imagine increasing that would make too much difference

I know you say you can't get to a phone but you really need to speak to these companies and you will get a much better deal than on the Internet

Agree with this.  I always do it over the phone. These comparison sites always add a bit on for their own benefit.
