you will probably find with your age ect to get the quote down enough you will have limited mileage and will only cover social and pleasure. thats what adrian flux done on mine im 23 but my gf is only 21 and it all went pete tong with her on it. my insurance fully comp classic is 7500 miles social and pleasure and is 760 somthing for the year on my 1.6 cab

worth trying tho

im with adrian flux now. n i refuse to be with them again. everytime ive had to speak to them theyve had shit customer service n dont even know what theyre doing. with my old car because it wasnt the original colour they tried putting it down as a mod even though on the logbook it had been registered a colour change. lol i could go on.

apparently footman james do it for young drivers so im gunna try them

Isn't it 2.0 16V, as your signature suggests?

gunna be getting changed on the logbook so will be registered as that instead of "just a mod"

Worth bearing in mind that some insurance companies simply won't have you, with an engine mod. Some insurers don't insure ANY mods; some only cover minor stuff like alloy wheels, lowering, tweaks on the original engine but won't cover an engine conversion; and some do it all. They all add a bit more, in my experience if you're older then its only a bit more, if you're young then its a lot more.

well ive got a couple of years no claims. ive got a couple of small private brokers lined up coz ive heard that they are fairly cheap coz they fight for business more.

try HIC, you get discount for being in the club, and they're pretty good with mods to be honest!

Not sure how old you need to be for a classic policy though, it may be 21.

how do you get round the whole 1.8 16v in a 1.1?

get it changed on the log book? how?

All there is to change on the V5 is the Engine number and capacity.

That's nothing to do with insurance though, more to do with tax band.
