Classic insurance ...

Hi all

Thinking of buying a VR6, around 1995/6. Any idea if this will qualify for a classic policy ?.

I just tried an online quote with Footmans (who cover my gti) and it came back at £2660 !!!. I'm 36 with a clean license, proffesional driver and never made a claim in nearly 19 years of driving  :dontknow: .

Any idea's appreciated. If none, looks like my plans will be somewhat scuppered !.

I doubt it would qualify for classical insurance.

Im sure if you shop around you will get the quotes down to around £500 -£700

Try Swiftcover, if you haven't got any mods to declare they should give you a good quote online.

I've just insured with Footman James for my cabby, but my husband has just insured his MK3
GTI 16v with swiftcover £360 and it covers stainless exhaust on standard policy. We are both 33 and full no claims.
