£1500 insurance quote

im 18, got a quote for my cabby for £1500, but i put in that i had 1 years ncb, but i dont get it till july 14th, and they wanna put my premium up £300 so will come out £1800 (bit much) if i dont wait till 14th july, will they know if i tell them ive just got a year ncb?

Most (I'd imagine, almost all) insurance companies require proof of NCB and they check every one of these, and YES they will cancel your policy if you can't prove it and don't pay the premium increase that results from 0 years NCB instead of 1 year NCB.

I guess with not even 1 year's NCB yet, you've not had to deal with the hassle of trying to prove your NCB entitlement from the previous insurer.
