When I have the wipers switched on, they go right to the bottom of the windscreen and sit horizontally, I assume this is the location they should be in when they are switched off!!
Is there a way to resolve this?
Any input is much appreciated.

Wipers not sitting in off location
I’m living with it until I eventually buy a mk2 golf motor and add swap it over.

Pull the wiper arms up off the screen incase some thing goes wrong and use the wipers a few times to check where they go and park then try it with the wiper arms on the screen.

Remove the nut under the cap, the cap comes off with a flat blade Screw driver. Don't forget the cupped spring washer.
Remove the Arm off the Stalk.
Take a 4X4 square piece of Cardboard and cut a hole in the middle of the piece, and place it over the wiper stalk.
Using a small Brass Brush clean the corrosion off the wiper stalk so you can expose the tiny finger bites.
Replace the arm and position it where you want it.
Replace the nut on the stalk, and be sure that you have the cupped spring washer under it tighten it. When the arm can't move your nut is tight enough.
While you have the arm off you can pop off the plastic lower cover and clean it with soap and water, using 3000 grit wet or dry paper, you can sand it semi-shiney. Once you have it cleaned and shiney, use your favorite polish and shine it right up… your arms will look amazing.

In the 1st thread Thirtleshead said they wipe the full screen when on and only park in the wrong place, the problem with re-moving the wiper arms and re-positioning them is they might go off the bottom of the screen when on so that is why you need to set the park position on the wiper motor so they sit right.

Yes when you have the arms off you should cycle the switch so the mech parks, then replace the arm,,,but before you "park them" make sure the stalks are clean as they move because the Shaft can no longer bite on the arms correctly, or that the nut loosens usually because the cupped spring washer (actually called a Belleville Washer) under the nut isn't there.
