Wiper motor helllllpppp

Hi guys

Can any one tell me if there is a way to check/test my windscreen wiper motor before I go out and buy a new one, I have just sent my old 1985 gti in for an mot and failed on wipers not working I believe there is power to the motor but don't know how to prove the motor isn't working

Any help would be great

On the motor you have 3 pins, one is B+ battery, the other 2 are grounds via the wiper stalk.

Pin 31 on the motor Black I think I can't read the diagrams well as it is the bentley's crappy copy is the 12V+ in

So if you ground or earth the other 2 green or green/yellow your motor should go.  

If the motor doesn't work you have checked the fuses. as in F11,,,, could be as easy as a bad fuse.

If the fuse is good, and you have B+ at the motor, then earth one of the other pins if the motor works then you are at the junction of either a bad relay, bad switch or Broken wire.

Took the motor off and tested it sure enough was completely dead so have replaced it off of my other golf now I need to buy a new one any idea where is best
