hydraulic roof struts

hi guys

i have a 1990 mk1 cabrio that i am restoring

i have recently had a new roof put on and its time to get it opening and closing automatically

problem is when i stripped the car i now cant remember how the two hydraulic struts in the boot that open and close the roof secure to the body 

any pictures would be a huge help
