Hi Guys im new, just started to restore an 86 GTI convertible, will start a thread soon

Always had vw's, had a mk1 Gti, mk2 Gti and a Rallye and more, currently have a t2 westfalia amongst the other every day T5 and Audi A3!

Anyway back onto the subject, what sort of paint or sealer was used at the factory on the inner wings? Its a sort of rubbery texture, ive got a couple of bits to touch up

Cheers

3m window weld is a Urethane in a caulking tube that they use to glue windshields in.  It is tougher than silicone and holds up really well.

I know that the Snot of Satan Glue they use is tough and I have had to use a heat gun to soften it for removal.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.
