Tyre size for Pirelli P

I'm just thinking of getting the tyres sorted for my Campaign resto.

I'm intending to get Pirelli tyres so just wondered what the exact size and reference style is for the 14" wheels

I seem to recall that the original size for a GTi was 175/75/13 - so the closest when going to 14" is 185/65/14. I know that the 14" wheels I took off mine were running this size tyre, but the ones I bought 2nd hand (with tyres on) have 185/60/14 - which I never thought was right.

Actually - doing some more googling - all of the above is rubbish! They were 175/70/13, so the 14 would be 185/60/14. Guess my old 14's were running a tyre that was popular (akak cheaper) at the time!

Tyres on VWs 14 inch wheels are 185/60/14

Tyres on 13 inch wheels are 175/70/13. 

Good stuff - I'll get some sorted for the 185/60/14

Are they P600 now or P6000 or other way round ?
