Steering column moves with clutch

Post

A new and interesting problem has arisen today, everytime I press the clutch down, the steering wheel (and column) "dips".

I'm thinking that the tube the steering column goes through has somehow broken, which I think is attached the the clutch pedal?

I can only see upgraded pedal boxes available on the internet, and not sure what can be done here. Any advice would be welcome, thanks

It's quite common for the bulkhead to give way where the clutch cable goes through. I suspect this may have happened and is flexing the metal around the bulkhead which is moving the column. Have a look up under the dash and you should see where the clutch goes through.

you can get a repair patch to strengthen this area. some are stick on and others welded.

Would not think the area around the clutch bulkhead area would affect the steering column unless the whole bulkhead is shot picture would be good
