I've recently done the shocks, top mounts, wishbones, tre's and ball joints on mine.  It is sitting high as well on the front but I haven't had the tracking, castor, camber etc done yet. It may also be an optical illusion or truth as well if the rear shocks are not at their best.

They sit fairly high with standard spec suspension and if you've not done anything with the rear the rubber mounts on top of the suspension squashes over time, mine was 1/2 the size…

Sorry can't help with size of springs but looking at pictures of this one with the standard size steel wheels you could easily get your fist in between the tyre and wheel arch.

Agree new top mounts could add 1/2 inch compared to settled originals . Same with the new springs you say you used, how did they compare with the originals?

Blimey paul , thats impressive but do you have the compression weight for the spring, and the test jig?  Maybe just gone soft…

Any how…. advice is always change both springs, and rubbers then geometry should be equal.

When changed to coilover ive dropped 20 to 30mm across both axels, to give modern look.  As mark1gls says original cars have high clearance set up, also small wheels 13 and 14"
