Seatbelt refurbishment

So this week I've been looking at the seatbelts. Looks like the springs have slipped and need to be re-wound to get them to retract properly. But my question is does anybody have any info on how the internals of these seatbelt work and how to refurb them? If not I'll forge on like a lonely wolf 🐺 on the prairie but some previous knowledge or experience from somebody would be helpful. :) thanks

Well the retractors are fairly easy, the springs not so much so.  They are long Clock Springs that are wound up and when you pull on the belt to clasp they compress the spring.

I used a set of rear seat belts off a Cabrio, a direct fit with some adjustments.

Over here there are companies that sell refurbished belts, or you can send them yours and they will refurb the retractors and use new webbing.

Over on this side of the pond there are quite a few companies and a quick google search of UK shows there are a few over there.
