Rear fog light

Recently had trouble getting my rear fog light to work until I discovered that it will only come on if the dimmer wheel next to the light switch is in the brightest position. Just wondering if it's supposed to function like that or if there was some other issue to make it be like that.

The rear fog light is operated via the switch in the middle of the dashboard - the other side to the headlamp switch and the dimmer that you've described.

The fog light switch has two positions, the first 'click' is for the front fogs (if fitted) and the second for the rear fog.

Make sure the switch is functioning correctly because the fog light shouldn't operate via the dimmer.
