Pirelli P-slot centre caps…can you have a look at the photos and tell me what's missing here? All the other repro caps I have seen appear to have a plastic centre with a small metal tensioning ring for the clips. Haven't seen any with the four outer metal clips. The middle bit on mine isn't plastic, it's same as the rest of the cap (aluminium?). Stamped on it are 'P013', FPS and 85 in a grid with five dots. Just trying to work out how to refit it to the wheel - it had been stuck on with some gunk previously. As forthe front of the cap the Pirelli logo is recessed and looks to have been filled in with what looks like tar.
So would like to refit it but cannot work out how.
Here in France there's an online parts store called Mecatechnic who sell 4 repro similar to this (blacked-rimmed; plastic clip/metal ring fitting) for around £250, so I won't be buying those. Then there's some geezer on eBay who makes them at £60 each…
As far as I can see the wheels on our Clipper are genuine P-slots.

so it would seem that those are the wrong centre caps for my 6Jx14H2 rims and the previous owner has stuck them on with mastic because actually they don't fit…

In yours the metal clips have been turned 180 degrees. They should point out. That is probably to make them fit because they're the wrong caps for OEM P Slots.

As you can see, the FPS wheel has a lip the clips attach to.

They're for "8 P" P Slots, they come in 14" also. I've had both.
All the "9 P" P Slots I've seen take the plastic caps.
