Part number for missing horn 'plate' in steering wheel

Post

HI all, while troubleshooting why my horn wasn't working I found i'm missing the brass plate thats connected direclty behind the horn 'button' on the steering wheel. My question is can these be bought seperatly? I've been looking on Heritage and Classic-VW but couldn't find them. Failing that I'd just look for a replacement steering wheel that has it already but seems a bit of a waste. I've attached pics of the type of steering wheel i have, the plate i'm issing (i have the plastic part it attaches too) and a pic of the wheel once the plate is removed

Thanks as always guys
I've found the "I've not got the horn" post which is helping me diagnose the other issue i'm having with the horn
Great forum!!!

You may have to scour the sites like EBAY, VWvortex classifieds as well as thesamba.com to find that plate, or make your own….

Seems as if they are NLA.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

I have the brass plate but unfortunately the connector has broken off. I don't know if you'll be able to fix it.

Bought a replacement steering wheel in the end off Ebay. Wasnt too expensive, used the bit I needed, now the horn works and I'm selling the actual steering wheel
All's well that ends well
