Opinions on wheels?!?

So I've decided to put my mk1 back on the road.
Just spent a few bob a new wing and put a deposit down on some coilovers..

I fancy putting some new wheels on it..

My mate found these, he thinks they would look amazing but I'm not so sure.

What do you guys think ?

Not sure about amazing, but in the right colour would look alright, although I would say that as I will be running something very similar, bought for price not style reasons.

I really like the wheels you've got at the moment, they look correct for the car but it's your choice at the end of the day of course.

Buy what you like, try not to ask opinions as you'll get as many opinions as people who read your post.

yeah probably, but its a big decision, wrong wheels can kill a car. That's why we have so many sets

try chucking some 30 mm spacers on the back first and see how that looks

There's something about period wheels that I personally like even if the car is lowered and modified to death! 🤔

If I were you I'd be looking for a set that would have been available
close to the date of manufacture or within 5 years after. 😉
