Fuel consumption
Is this normal? Or would I need to adjust the CO to get a better consumption? What would be the best CO setting?
Thank you

What's the actual MPG? Distance since last filled up/gallons in this fill up. Gals to litres = litres / 4.54 .
i.e. 200miles / 7.5 gallons = 26.67 mpg
When you know the actual mpg you can decide if its good/bad/WTH and act accordingly.

I used to get approx 35mpg , that was short runs around the back roads here and the odd 40 mile run on A roads.
I've had two 1.8's and neither would run all that well on the recommended CO level, I used to set it at about 2% or just over and the plugs were always a nice healthy colour.

It did 39.999 on the club trip to Wofsburg a few years back (2012!!), Motorway crawl in foul wet weather from Yorks to Dover, cruising at 70+ on mways to the fatherland and same again back via tootling around the Floriade in Venlo and inlaws in southern Holland and then finally to Rotterdam Europort - Hull ferry and back to South Yorks.
The latest MOT show CO at 2.83

Just an update….I adjusted my CO setting from 1.5% to around 0.8% and now I'm getting an extra 30miles or so…..plus no longer smelling rich. Car runs ok, no fuel starvation, took on motorway as well…..so the CO setting did do the trick.
