If you take a meter and measure the voltage at the light pins you will usually find between 11, and 11.3V
After relaying you will see 13.75.
They make kits on ebay that are good and fairly cheap.
don't pay over 20 bucks and make sure the headlight sockets are ceramic.

I also ordered a cheaper one at around £11 in May 2020 but that listing doesn't exist anymore. Seemed similar.
Couple of sketchy photos below:
First shows how I installed relays in a 1990 mk2. I added the zip ties because I was concerned the relays might jump out. Probably unfounded. At bottom right see a purple-ish bent bracket that I made to hang the relays from slam panel. Not waterproofed, still working after ~1year.
Second shows same thing in my 1989 mk1 cab. I used some metal strapping to make the bracket. No zip ties or waterproofing and working fine after ~3years.
I could have done a neater job especially with the cable routing etc but it is how it is
