Inner sill rot rhd

Quick check for the experienced ones on here. I have pulled my carpets out today and found the drivers inner sill no long attached to the floor pan. I hate rot. Anyway the sound proofing was very wet by carpet dry. I am assuming it is wet because the sill has gone but should I look for any other root cause here as don't want to miss something while it is all apart and before it gets pained at Easter. Thanks.
