Help! Oil in Water Botttle (catch tank)
Apparently the oil cooler seal can fail and oil then gets/goes into the water catch bottle (expansion tank).
There's no water in the sump, or in the valve cover.
I think I must remove the radiator, flush it, and remove the oil cooler (above the oil filter) and either repair it with a new seal, or get a new oil cooler.
Has anyone done this before, if so please post procedure, or a link/s, and hopefully someone might have taken step by step photos?
Many thanks for any help.

It can be a leaking oil cooler internally, or a blown head gasket.
Usual signs are oil in the expansion tank and over pressurising of the water hoses, they balloon up under the engine running.
You can replace the oil cooler and seal, then test for a broken head gasket by doing the following.
Tie a latex glove over the open expansion tank fill (remove the cap) tight it tight.
Start your gar and rev the engine from under the hood to 3000 rpm and see if the glove inflates and gives you the finger. If it does then you still have a blown head gasket.
Only rev the engine for 30 to 45 seconds when cold as after that the coolant starts to raise in temp and will inflate the glove.

Apprently non-foaming detergent (dish washer tabs) are good for flushing oil out of the water system………
Drain and replace the oil to remove any water in that and a then a good high speed drive should boil off any water still in the oil.
