Fuel neck filler

Post

So I have the old late cabi fuel neck filler problem.

Most threads date back 3-10 years. Have there been any developments?

From what I can see, I either shorten the tin top one or splash out on the Crazyprice one.
Some threads mention welding and excessive bending of the tin top one, some don't. What's the deal?
Is the stainless worth it in the long run? Is it likely to last 4 times as long as a standard one?

Thanks.

Whip

Noun - Car

When the steering wheel was first put into use in automobiles, it was called the whip. The term has now been generalised to classify any automobile.

You can't just shorten a tin top filler neck to fit a cabriolet as the bend is different, it really needs a section cut out then welded back together to get the right profile.

If you look at my build thread you can compare the 2 filler necks and see what I had to do to mine.

Stainless steel does not rust, so should outlast you!
