Thanks.

Best bet is get to a Breakers and see if you can find one that fits your motors, just cut it about 10inches back. so you have room to solder heat shrink and hide it, when is probably why they went with Spad connections on yours… Motor change required different connector.
When going to the Breakers to grab a motor, it is best to take the connector too.

Think I'll try ebay to see if any body is breaking one and willing to chop it off for me.
Thanks mate.

The ETKA list put one plug type and that is a 3 pin, I see a 2 pin thermo switch for the radiator, as well as a 3 pin.
The 2 speed fan has 3 pins, one ground, 2 12V+. I assume that there is a resistor internally to make it spin 2 different speeds….

I was looking at the 1982, RWD. The Cabby is different, and if you click on the part tab for the connector you can scroll down and see more.
Here are the styles of fans that I see.

as briano mentioned there are a couple plug shapes depending on the fan wattage, see if there is a part number on it I can look up and possibly find the plug for it. VW have most plugs in stock still and usually not that expensive
if you want to upgrade from 1 to 2 speed then you need the matching loom from a donor plus a 3 pin thermoswitch for the radiator
