Electric Roof - not working properly

HELP?
my hood retracts OK but it wont come back up - it looses steam about halfway and wont come down into the closed position. I did have a leaky hydraulic rod a couple of months ago that I got fixed but over the past couple of weeks or so its not been as fast as it used to be and now wont shut.

Any ideas? I am also after recommendations of where to take it to get fixed - London/SE/Watford area

Hi Adam, if you have a look at the bottom of the hydraulic ram behind the black card on the right hand side of the boot there's a small round window which shows the hydraulic oil level. It should show between the two lines. If you can't see it then you probably just need to add a bit of oil by the sounds of it. Think automatic gearbox oil is ok but check!!

First thing i would check is the the brass valve is turned all the way shut

You can see it on the lower part of the pump, looks like a radiator key

Slightest knock on them and full pressure is lost for hydraulics it seems

Turn to the right for full hydraulic  pressure and turn it left to open the valves so you can use the hood manually if it ever fails
