Electrical Gremlins

Need help with earthing!!!!! I have recently had the engine refitted after a full refurb. However I think some of the earthing points in the engine bay have been missed off on reistallation.
I'm having issues with the dash lights been incorrect and other bits and pieces. Does anyone have any pictures of the earthing points in the engine bay? Mk2 1.8 Cabriolet.

Cheers

www.cabby-info.com has the list for Digi, and CIS Cabriolets.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

The dash instruments have a couple of earths, one being on the rear right hand side of the cam cover, fixed to the nut and bolt, there should also be a earth strap to the coil bracket on the same bolt.

That one can cause some strange things to happen if it's missing….

from front back:
battery earth -> hole in chassis leg -> gearbox
brown ring terminals in engine wiring loom -> side of head/block
brown ring terminal in ignition/ecu harness -> to battery

headlight loom thick brown wire -> battery earth -> white 4 way spade block behind fusebox

wire from rear of white 4 spade block above -> earth claw above fusebox. if 2 claws, wire between claws to link them
engine loom white fusebox plug brown wire with spade -> to white block above
dash loom brown wire with spade -> white block
rear wiring loom brown -> white block

any other random small brown spades -> to claw above fusebox
any loose ring terminals under dash at either corner -> stud on a pillar

rear lights, washer pump -> earth to shell either between the lamp units, or under boot carpet, or maybe behind the boot cards either side
tailgate wiring -> as above
