Door stripdown

What's this?

Hi all, I have taken one of my doors off to strip ready for prep and paint.
Managed to totally gut it all ( including the metal quarter guide which sounded like a real headache from what I've read on here ) and have labeled all the parts ready for assembly.
After that was all done I have discovered a small plastic piece sitting inside the bottom of the door which looks like it had come off somewhere sometime ago. Anybody any ideas where this piece fits as it looks like it could be important.
Can't find an exploded diagram of the inner workings of the door anywhere. Thanks. 20170317_144539.jpg 20170317_144932.jpg

These pages are really useful but don't seem to show the cabby front doors and the internal seem quiet different on the tin tops.
Do you know any more sites that have the same sort of exploded diagrams for mine.
Thanks for your help mate.

The etka has a better break down.
http://www.oemepc.com

That looks to be a 91.5"ish door, electric windows from the cut outs… I know the regulator if electric, or manual for that year, but the upper cut out at the front is for the tweeter, and the larger rounder hole is for the 5 1/4 inch speaker in the larger speaker pod.

That piece in question is a anti-chatter clip IIRC I just had mine apart… Mine is White Nylon
part 23 in the Break down…

Hope it helps. 89 door modified for the 93.

The Blue Marker denotes the cuts and the mounting holes that needed to be drilled to for the electric window regulator…

Your a star. It certainly helps when you know where to look for these diagrams. This should make sure I get all the bits back in the right place - in theory!!
Might be being a bit picky here but I also ended up with several 2" square foam pieces that have ended up sitting in the bottom of the door.
I'm presuming they help with anti rattling or something. Would like to glue them back into place so are they a necessity and any ideas where they go?

If you look at the rear edge of the door, there is a 2X2 piece of foam that the is behind the inner door release lever to stop it from vibration on the door.

On the back of the Door card.
There are a couple to keep the door card fro squeaking against the plastic weather shield.
