Door handle

Hi my passenger door handle will not open door from outside. You have to open from inside. My first thought is someone has put wrong door handle from golf and not cabrio as slightly different from reading on here. Do you think before I take skin off and find every point is broken in door card that it's that. When opening door the handle moves away from car this not opening door. Or is it just a screw

Looks like the screw for the door handle is missing, if you look on the side of the door there should be a Phillips head screw to hold the handle on

Unfortunately not you got my hopes up lol

It must be missing the screw or the handle is broken

The screw that holds the handle at the rear is here:


The screw at the front is under the center strip.
Pry it off carefully.

The bit for screw has broken. Time for the metal expoxy until I get one from Ali

Epoxy will last about a day…. I have tried all types of glues over the years, and a new handle is the best fix.  Just be sure you change your pawl and lock over from old to new.

Not even a day. I have order two from AliExpress. For 12 Inc postage. Mixed reviews I will let you know result when finally turn up.

No nothing wrong with them fit straight on i just need to change the barrel now.. today

Ok the lock barrel is not the same size.  So you can not put old barrel in . Maybe you could drill out. Not to bothered as side door. Now all the pins have fallen out of new lock. So I have a 3d Jigsaw to do.
Change your pawl as said above otherwise does not lock!
