I've done 2 over the last 20 years….. the spare outlet/inlet with the green cap on it. This time I just taped up the hole.

1983 Mars Red 1.8 Golf GTI
1987 Alpine White 1.8 Clipper Cabriolet

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

I have now managed to secure the valve along with the attached pipe.

What is the best way to bend the pipe - its plastic (hard) and is stuck in a U form near the valve.  I was thinking of applying some heat… I have tried hot water but not boiling and its not really worked.  Any tips on getting the tube in the right shape, form?
Thanks!

If you can get a spring in it to retain the inner shape be careful as with out it you could collapse or kink the tubing.  I have seen folks that break that pipe and then remove the check valve and use hose.  So all is not lost if you do kink it.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

Thanks!! That's a relief!  As they do sell them without the  shrink tube.

new non returns are available through mark carter, hugh coffey and ebay.  if you need another temp fix , try large bore syringe(needle ) stick need into damaged pipe and glue in place ,you then have ready mage push tube point to push vacuum pipe.
