nails?!?
So, refitting carpet in my tin-top. I know that the edge of the carpet where it comes up the door sill should be held in with nails/tacks, and is then covered over with the platic trim strip. Ove the years the nails have disappeared, or have pulled out the carpet. What do people replace them with? Self tappers in a cup to give extra grip (they'll be covered by the trim strip) or carpet adhesive, or nothing? Given the holes are still in the sill, I could use screws although I'm not sure I'd actually be able to locate the hole once the carpet is down and I really don't want to make more holes.
Ta!

The clips when inside of the trim that held the Sill cap to the lip., But there were clips and I can't find them that held the Sill Trim and the carpet to the same lip.
They show the clip as NLA and won't even post a pic of it…..

The two at the bottom hold the carpet to the foot well at the top to secure the cover over the bottom of the kneebar to the foot well.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?
They all start with GOOD Grounds.

I used a couple of short self drilling flange head self tappers, with some Pu adhesive sealer under the carpet first
