Looking to buy a mohair hood for my car i have a fitter sorted, seen a couple of companies online to buy from and swaying towards Bas / car-hood.co.uk has any one used these before or know of a better company to use?

Bought mine from verdeckptofi-de ,initially through eBay but ended up going back for headlining etc.have own website ,a lot in English,worth looking

I've used BAS international and Car Hood Northern, (they used to sell on eBay) and both equal quality and seem to match the original spec, I did fit them myself.

I've only had vinyl roofs so can't comment on the mohair .

Yes chrisD, Chortle can supply & fit , he  is based in Derbyshire I think, but does travel …

I've heard the BAS ones are poor quality but cheap. Chortle likes to do top quality….

Chortle has lots of experience fitting Mk1 Golf roofs and everyone who has used him seems very happy with the work he does.

I'm sure he might pop up soon with contacts details if you wish to discuss things.
