The car is running very lumpy and needs the choke pulled out to keep it going. I have the pipe that runs round the front of the engine but not the pipe that it joins to. Can anyone Help to locate this hose or confirm if this is causing the lumpy running.

Well i see 2 open hoses on the top picture.

The big one that would go to the EGR,

Then by the top of the picture to the right of the Oil cap, there is a open rubber hose that probably connects to the open port line in front of the black/yellow check valve.

What do Divorces, Great Coffee, and Car Electrics all have in common?

They all start with GOOD Grounds.

Where are my DIY Links?

The hose was available from VW not that long ago?

It's a angled bit of hose and if your car is the red one in the 2nd picture then that's the wrong hose as someone has just fitted any bit of hose, it should have a couple of jubilee clips on it as well.

Found one here for a £5 delivered…

Thank you for pointing out the hose that is wrong I have just ordered the correct hose.
sorry I wasn’t specific enough with my circles in the pics the hose is complete. I can’t seem to find the but at the back of the engine (the fluffy looking bit in the top pic) the hose comes from the distributor and as you can sort of see in the pics was connected to another breather which I now can’t find.

Not 100% sure as I've an early carb car but I believe it fits on to the vacuum hose going from the brake servo to the manifold, you can see a yellow and black none return valve just below the fluffy end of the rubber hose, is there a free bit to attach it as 1 seems to be blocked off?

something like this? You can see 2 smaller connections on one end, the air hose to the dissy fits on 1 of those.
