1983 campaign relays??

Evening all,

i need some help with an issue with working out what relays I need for my mk1?

i bought the car a few weeks ago as a restoration and there isn't a single relay present…..

Can anyone advise what ones I need?

It all depends on what type of fuse box you have, bullet type fuses or blade fuses.

Do it once and do it right! ok, we've identified the problem, lets not make it worse by guessing……… Identifying the sympton is not the same as understanding the cause :)

Thats alot of relays on your car.
My 1988 Gti cabriolet.

99 relay is the programmable relay can also be 19.
292 relay is lights left on relay so is not standard fitment, that space is normally blank.

slot 7 is normally for front fogs, which a proper campaign will have so a 15 relay here is correct :)

slot 4 is for the upshift/mpg control relay which again a campaign needs, 88 cab will have later style mfa cluster and so no relay here.

slot 11 is rear wiper, so thats why you dont have anything there ;)
