selling golf............maybe!!!!!!!!

hi guys. got some sad news, due to job change and othere things im having to think about selling my pride and joy mk 1 mars red 1.8 GTI. ive had it for approx 10 months and have spent loads as u can see from the pic in photos and images shes immaculate, what do u guys reckon i could get for her shes had loads done respray,engine tuned coilovers ats cups etc loads to list??????

Hi mickey - hope you don't have to get rid of her. I came close around Xmas to losing mine but things have gone full circle and I hope to be hanging on to her now!

Looked at your pic again and she does look immaculate. It's a difficult one to call to be honest on price though. Is engine standard? - engine bay tidy? I'm guessing you could be at the ?2-2500 ballpark but it's hard to judge as often just a case of what someone is prepared to pay. (stating obvious huh!)

Maybe e-bay is a good option if you can put up with the potential of being messed around. Good MK1's seem to be fetching a good price generally on there at the moment.

cheers for the feed back mate,the engine has a had a few mod the whole car is immaculate. its had a new respray,new breaks,supersport heavy duty clutch,all new oil and thermostat sensors. theres to much to list ive got a book an inch think of whats been done from a new bolt to a whole new engine part if it does come to selling it i want ?3000 for her as when i do come to selling up it will have a years tax and mot what do u think?

Saw it on ebay this morning! (Assume it's your car) It looks tidy so hopefully you'll find the right buyer - you may struggle at ?3k?? It's always difficult to gauge it though as sometimes you see tat making a load of money.

Anyway, it's a sound motor so fingers crossed you'll get your price. :wink:
