Rivage?

Hi I have been offered a Rivage which I have no seen yet but the owner tells me it's on a G plate and has a black manual hood. How do you tell if it's a Rivage as I believe the Rivage was only available after 1991, does is say on the V5 as the logo on the side could have been added at any time. Any assistance would be appreciated.

yeah,im pretty certain they were only built from 91/92 till 93…

it should have white leather interior,le castalette wheels,leccy roof,karmann/clipper kit,leather mk1 campaign style steering wheel,leccy windows.

i think they were only made in blue/green/v rare burgundy maybe others?,pretty sure not in red or black as the sportlines were limited to these 2 colours around the same time.(91-93).

Hi there! I have only just found a rivage myself! Been looking for eight years! There are still good cars out there, so firstly don't just rush out and buy the first one you see! G plate sounds too early! If the car is a rivage, it should have a mo hair hood and not a black vinyl one! My best advice would be go out and buy february's edition of VW motoring magazine! In there you will find an article on the rivage and sportline! It covers the various specifications and also points to some potential problems! Best of luck!…..Walt.
