ooooppppppps hahahahaha

nothing really interesting jus thought id share it with u all . i have a mk5 rs2000     but its not all bad. im trying to see how much it will take to kill it  . anyway needed a pas pump so went on rs owners club and found 1 . replied to a topic on there sayin i bought mine cos it was cheap and that i never wanted 1 or liked them but needed something while my golf was bein restored . someone got the hump    said golfs are ten a penny and he has seen off every golf that had a go . and he reckon a rs2000 will be worth more in the end  . i then got the hump and said the only reason there arent many rs2000 s is cos they arent worth fixing when they rot and if they are worth so much how did i get a mint one for 600 quid and a rotten golf for 500 u muppet   . made me very angry

The early RS2000's are very nice, think it's the mk2?!?!?

But you are spot on with your reply to the guy, the mk5's are not worth the scrap metal they are held together with!

You looking forward to getting the golf back on the road then?

rs2000 vs golf

i had a mk5 rs2000 and absolutely hated being seen in it. sold it to 20 year old who half burried it in someones front garden that night! never mind i got paid and now there's one less daganhem dustbin on the road.
alls well that ends well give me a mk1 any day.

the only good mk5 escort was the cossie IMO even that isn't really an escort as its a sierra floor plan with modded escort panels stuck to it.The escort cossie have really held their money over the years but an impreza would run rings around it for half the money or less

next on the list is a vr6 as the insurance is cheap then im gonna get a scooby . i like 3 dr ones but they are to much

when I sold my scooby I looked at getting a VR6, but the insurance was only ?70 cheeper so I decided for the money it wasn't worth it. An the amount of people who thought their VR was worth as much as an impreza was shocking all I had was offers to swop it for some rusty k reg shed.
Be warned - check the insurance and throughly check the cars, most have been abused and lead hard lives with a minium of servicing. :|

insurance on a wrx is 1600 quid and a vr6 is 421 i only have 1 years no claims cos some one nicked all my stereo and i only bin drivin 2 years. vr6 are expensive when u compare to impreza . would probably get low mile import unless work do me a good deal on a uk 1 .

I was with tescos on my impreza and it was just under ?800 f.c and a swop to a VR6 was around ?730 ish, so got another GTI which is only ?250 f.c.
I could have insured a UK scooby much cheeper, around ?500 or less is an average for a turbo 2000, if you go for an import the insurance is killer but they make for it in performance 8)
One of the very few cars really miss

don't try and run one on a budget, parts are pretty expensive but servicing is easy. Try an be-friend a specialist garage or main dealer other wise getting parts for an import can be awkward, there are some things in common with uk and imports other things like suspension and engines are completely different. If the engine goes bang (which if you don't look after it, it will) this is going to be costly. Never ever run one flat out for more than a minute or so or it will go bang as well.
But like any other car with high performance these problems can be avoided with common sense and good maintence.
What other car can you get for less than 10 grand which is quicker than a ferrari, lambo, 911 etc etc (evo and skyline excepted)

i work for thurlow nunn who have a subaru dealership so should be able to get most parts . its great seein peoples face drop in there porsches and lotuses etc when they get beat by somethin a fraction of the price . i remeber a bloke in a boxer at trouse shaking his head as i revved my astra i let him go then opened it up and laughed and bipped my horn as i went past . felt great   . do imprezas have to have engine rebuilds at any time or mileage ?

No, only for normal wear and tear, main cause of a rebuild is over boost or excessive thrashing. East Anglia has a massive scooby following, you need to look at Scoobycity, Good club and do loads of local events
