HELP! (urgent!)

Hi Guysn'n'gals…

I need advice! I just bid and won a brand new (so it says) Weber 32/34 1800cc carb off Ebay for my 1.8  manualClipper…the problem is, the ad says it works with the Audi 80, Scirocco etc, but not the Golf - and the guy selling the stuff was selling other similar 32/34 carbs that supposedly were for use with Golfs. I'm confused.

It's boxed, with manual choke, leads etc - but is there a problem I'm not aware of? Are there adapter or bits that are incompatible with a VW fit? Or is the seller overlooking something?

The Weber part no is: 22670911 - and you can view the part at http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4530712536&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT

There's a large gin and tonic in the post for anyone who can help. Thanks, I'd appreciate any help!

I think the cars listed used a (and today?s big word is?. :P ) longitudinal installed engine as opposed to the Golfs transverse engine. So I would guess some of the brackets and fittings are wrong/different?

1983 Mars Red 1.8 Golf GTI
1987 Alpine White 1.8 Clipper Cabriolet

The trouble with doing nothing is that you never know when you are finished.

hi
probably answer is easy- just use chooking collector from vw mk-2 engine because that man on ebay said that carburator is replacment of 2b2 carb!
all the best in corvesion!

Remember, VW made the last car in 1992. After that they started making vehicles.
