oh no deja vu...dodgy electrics full beam or no lights help!

have little problems jumping up all over the place. main concern at the mo is if i select full beam, when i turn them off again i have no lights at all.
also when idicating left it goes manic. blink blink blinkety blink. this happend with my old mk1. got new indicator stalks and all the electrics started to fail one by one. any suggestions? please….

This indicates a blown bulb or one thats not working .

Strange  8O Do they work if you turn the headlight switch off then on again ?  Have you got high beam flashers on the stalk ?

Oh OH I had this a little while ago

Its  the light relay thats gone

On mine ('83 , 4 light ) it was in the engine bay but looked like non factory ( ie bodge) fit

Check the bulbs as Chudd said  :lol:

have solved prob i think.

after some seriously stern talking with geordy (my golf) :banghead:  and ripping all the dash apart i discovered the connection on the hazard switch was totally disconnected. think it must have been earthing.  :D
thanks for your help guys. im sure i will be back soon asking for more help!

my cabby does the same flick main bean on then off and my lights go to side lights not dip beam if i wiggle the stork about the dip beam comes on :wink:
