Heater blower relay?

Heater blower relay?

Is there one, on a '79?

The only remaining job today is the heater blower.
I've checked the motor, and all three speeds are fine with a jumper from the battery, at the fuse box (n°10) there's no power, but again with a jumper I can power the switch, and get all three speeds, so the fault must be in the power supply to the heater blower fuse. Is there a relay for this? I've been through the diagrams, but can't identify the relay or power supply to the heater fuse.

Here's the fusebox: (LHD '79 diesel GLD with rear wiper, etc) Blower fuse in n°10, and with power supplied to it, the heater blower runs fine…

Any ideas?

fuse #10 gets power direct from the x-over relay in slot K. this also feeds the wiper, rear screen heater, lights etc so if they all work then it points to a fusebox problem im afraid

Thanks RJ,

since everything else is working and the wiring is untouched, I'll rig up an extra lead from the relay to the fuse, then.

Good news,

I put a shunter wire in to power the heater blower to go for the MOT today, then removed the wire to solder terminals on, and the heater continued running… It clearly just needed a boost to clear the dust off the terminals.

Thanks again!
