Clutch/flywheel options?

For ahu engine on o2o 5speed

As above chaps! I'm going to be swapping in the very near future but don't really want to use the 1.6 flywheel and clutch if I don't have too!
So what is beefy and fits an o2o?
cheers
Matt

210mm stuff out of Mk1/2 GTI will fit and take more abuse than your 190mm set up..  Speak to HotGolf on CGTI about getting your FW lightened, makes a noticable difference..

Take it easy ; )

So basically any 210mm o2o setup then? Nice one, are these present on the early mk3 gti 8v's as a lad I know has one he's breaking and could nab it if its suitable, his is a cable clutch box etc so I assume its an o2o not an o2a which are all hydraulic aren't they?

No, not ANY 210mm 020 - the 16V box had a larger input shaft then the 8V box so the friction disc has to have the right sized splined centre.

Any 8V 020 will fit, not sure about Mk3 stuff though its much too modern for me  ;)

Take it easy ; )

plus the later mk3 use a different (heavier) flywheel, and you really dont want to put a used clutch on a TDI that would be asking for trouble

so yes, mk1/2 1.8 210mm flywheel and a brand new sachs clutch kit matched to the gearbox you plan to use.

I think you may need to get a diesel 020, the 1.6 box ratios probably wont be that great? though if its a 4+e i think they're close if not the same?
