Is this engine code 1.8 dx or rebored 1.6

Hi Guys,  apologies for the very late reply to your messages both Abfmk1 and Kenneth Cartwright.
The engine is located in Dudley, West Midlands.
Unfortunately, I'm not sure what the exact engine code is on the engine, but I'm quite sure the previous owner reworked the original engine, and I always had it as a 1.8 gti on my log book when i originally brought the car.

Hi just to inform any interested parties, I do have a few pictures of the head, engine, gearbox and manifold etc that I can forward via whatsapp.
Also, I've double checked the engine block is definitely 1.8 not a 1.6.
