Kent 'GS1' solid lifter 280 degree cam, approx. 1800 miles only & Kent vernier pulley

Hi all,

For sale a fast road 'GS1' fast road cam for solid lifter (mechanical tappet) cylinder heads.

I ran this between December 2017 and October 2018 only, for as near as I can calculate only 1800 miles. Initially I wanted more top end for my Stage 1 aka 'Pack A' cylinder head. The cam & pulley were bought together direct from Kent Cams and only the best have worked on the top end of the engine, namely Dave Crisell (AllStage).

I have now reverted to stock camshaft for my DX engine 1.8 GTi, as I didn't like the lumpy warm-up and slightly lumpy traffic idle.
However above 2000rpm the car ran very smoothly, I still didn't lose the 1.8DX surge from 2250rpm upwards, only the very low-down torque was lost a bit.

The Kent Cam 'comes on' at about 3500rpm.
The dyno graphs from Stealth Racing suggest its fully 'on cam' at about 4000; however I don't use my car above 4000rpm.

Due to the limited mileage covered, both items are of course in very very good condition.
I still have the original boxes for both the cam and pulley too.
Buyer is welcome to the shims in the pictures too, as they are of course matched for the cam profile by Dave Crisell.

Bought for £410 all in (with Kent Vernier pulley) in November 2017.
Asking price now is £200 for the cam, and an additional £75 for the pulley

I am based near Walsall and prefer collection.
If posted I would add £10 for each (cam & pulley)

Let me know if you have any questions. :-)

FYI the cylinder head in the pics is out of commission.

Best, Si
