Description:
For sale is my 1983 Golf Gti, I have owned the car since March 2015 it has 11 previous owners.
Its a tin top finished in Mars red with a factory sunroof, it's not original paint.
The engine conversion was done many years ago so I don't know all the specificts but here is a run down of basics I do know.
2.0 16v 9A engine with T3 turbo, running a Megasquirt 1 ECU
O2A AKY cable shift gearbox
280mm front disc conversion and rear disc conversion
15" BBS RZ from a Corrado G60
Plastic arches removed and running rear arch spats
Full turbo back custom exhaust system (exhaust was a hodge podge when I got it so I had Pipe Dynamics in Fife make me a complete new system)
Momo steering wheel
Uprated Window wiper motor
Now on to the few niggles.
Drivers door handle isn't attached properly at the top, new little metal clips have been ordered and will be supplied with the car.
It has a cable shift tower in the car and it doesn't really fit properly with the center console, I have put a Corrado gaiter on it just to try tidy up a little.
The front splitter isn't perfect and is a bit loose at one side.
The whole underside of the car has been coated in this horrible tar like underseal, it sticks to you if you touch it, also the sill has been crushed at one point by poor jacking previous to my ownership.
The door cards and dash have some fixing screws missing, the interior fan plays funny buggers and doesnt work sometimes, I have replaced the fan itself for a new one so this requires more investigation.
The exhaust rattles off what I think is the rear beam at idle, some uprated rubber hangers or adjustment is needed.
There is no radio and no speakers in the car for some reason.
All in it's a good solid wee fast machine.
With the few niggles and non original nature of the car i'm looking for £6500
Anymore questions please get in touch.
Steve.
