Description:  I acquired this Golf with its valid MOT certificate in 2014.  I decided to carry out a major restoration immediately.  However over the next couple of years my health deteriorated.  The car currently has had a considerable amount of welding repairs in way of the wheel arches, etc.  The 1.8 GTi engine has had an overhaul, with new clutch, oil pump, water pump, timing chain etc.  Four new injectors have been fitted.  (Somewhere along the line before my time  the original 1588cc was swapped for a 1.8 k-jetronic CIS engine.)  The engine is ready for re-installation.
The suspension bushes have been completely renewed and a conversion brake disc kit has been fitted to the rear suspension.  New track rod ends and wishbones as well as new rear shock absorbers, have been fitted.  There are a considerable number of spare parts, boots etc for linkages available.
I have started the reassembly and the body can be put back on its wheels to allow removal.
