VW Golf GTI Rivage - Alternator needed

Hello,

Can anyone help me. I need a new alternator and I cannot find any identification on the current one. Can anyone tell me or advise me on where I can get a new alternator from and also what the spec should be on my car.

There’s 2 sorts of Alternator.
Different fittings wire connector wise.
The regulator pack is different to.
Most alternator issues tend to be the regulator pack giving up. So it doesn’t charge the battery.

Hello, please see attached photos, the reason I want to change the alternator is because of a whining noise coming from it and more often then not is louder than the engine. Thank you once again for your help.

If it’s squealing have you checked the belt tension.
